Today DPRT began extensive work with Branham Cemetery Keeper Mike Hall to refill some sunken graves and put stones back up. This is part of our cemetery preservation project.

At the end of March both Team Eastern KY and Team Louisville will join forces to cover Newman Cemetery. This will be a huge hunt and we expect amazing results

Sam Little has once again cleared access to the Wheelwright Bowling Alley and will be attempting that hunt this week.

It is no secret 99% of the behind the scenes actions here at DPRT are usually carried out by directer Sam Little. But few know that in the field, assisstant director Elyse Ogden is uaually working her tail off. That being said I as acting directer of DPRT will no longer refer to myself as directer and her assisstant. We now share the burden as co-directers.

Verliss Hall, close family friend to Sam Little and a big contributer to the Wheelwright Fire Department has donated a color Javalin Multiplexer. This will allow DPRT to record and monitor up to 10 cameras at once. We sincerelly thank Verliss and look forward to working with him at the fire station in the near future.

The entire team is preparing for a trip to Breathitt County KY to explore haunted Frozen Creek, the site of a mass drowing. New Charity for 2007

Eastern KY recentally lost a dear loved one when Ruthie Daniels passed away. Ruthie spent a majority of her time in the Floyd County Public Library encouraging adult and child alike to read. Her passing was felt by many including myself who spent hours upon hours in the library researching and in many cases just hanging out with Ruthie discussing literature, and politics and anything we had on our mind. She was a great person. Her drive and desire to encourage others to read led myself and several members of my team to meet with her son Donnie, and discuss a charity that would put books in the hands of children and adults who had no way to aquire such things. Together we have collected to date several large boxes of books and magazines and have joined forces with various food pantrys and clothing drives to bring the joys of reading to the people of eastern KY.

We all have books and magazines collecting dust in our homes, why not give those items to charity and allow others to enjoy them? If you would like to donate to this fund please contact us here

2007 Resolutions

2006 was not a monumental year for Dravenstar. A great deal happened to prevent it from being just that. In truth the team got lazy and focus shifted to things that were not important to the advancement of the team. Inner and outer conflicts ran amuk and I in part am guilty for not acting sooner, but these issues are no longer a problem as DPRT is undergoing some changes. New faces will join the familiar ones and also correspondents from all reaches of the world will join in the effort to discover the truth. DPRT will be active much more in 07 and new contacts are being made daily that are going to add to the ability of the team to operate as a coherent unit. Thanks to all who have stood beside us and showed their faith in the team. We appreciate it greatly.

I will not lie to anyone about my area of expertise in the field of paranormal research. I am a ghost researcher. Lately I have had to try and learn all the ropes to UFO research in hopes of keeping up with the literal downpour of UFO cases coming in. It seems KY is being invaded or something. Anyone out there noticing an increase in UFO activity?

In fact Derek's half is the most frequentally updated so I am no longer refering to him as an assisstant. Derek and I are both co-webmasters, and I feel that term is the best one for the task.

Great News for DPRT

While never an original intention of the group with the latest flood of UFO reports I have recieved Dravenstar will open up a UFO Division. Also roughly 5 new people have approached me with an interest in paranormal research, all of which are credible and trust worthy people. Dravenstar has invited Danny Little, a local electrician, carpenter, and designer to join the team as a production and design manager. Several media oppurtunities have opened up and while hesitant I will be going over each one with the team and maybe we might entertain an offer or two. Dravenstar has been cleared once again to enter the African American Cemetery in Wheelwright and we hope to tackle that task as soon as possible. Look for a great deal of new stuff to appear on the site as well as a new charity created by DPRT director Sam Little to raise books for children who cannot afford them.Also soon we should begin our Relay For Life work and we encourage everyone to take a stand against cancer.

A look at the site will reveal that we are quickly becoming one of the largest sources of online paranormal related articles out there and there are many more on the way from Sam Little, as well as many other writers. DPRT is now awaiting approving of several new members and is prepareing to assist several local high school studants with a project for their mid term. DPRT is also set to start updating case files and following up some of our cases. Look for us to release new articles on gear and how to create your own as well as a few major case studies. DPRT is also seeking research assistants who will take part in various tests and surveys to aid in understanding various phenomena.

Field Agent- go to investigations and conduct them
Tech Dept.- in charge of all technical aspects of the team
Historical Researchers- conduct in depth historical research regarding cases
Case Managers- book the cases and take calls for the team
Demonologist- handle that side of the team's investigations
Writer- writes articles and the such for the website and future newsletter
Production- Designs and utilizes various gadgets for the team

Osborne House Revisited

Over the weekend four members of Dravenstar PRT revisited the Osbourne House after being informed of renewed activity by a family member who has been working there. We observed several EMF spikes, took multiple pictures, and attempted to record several evps. We also set up a stationary video camera to monitor the living room and kitchen and recorded almost an hour of footage. We also observed first hand a ladder that moved almost a foot with no one touching it. We are still evaluating the evidence so keep your eyes open on the webpage for a major update.

Newman Cemetary Follow-Up

Dravenstar PRT did a follow up investigation at Newman Cemetary in HiHat last night with good results. All members present heard strange noises, and 3 investigators saw unexplained movement among the graves. Evidence is still being evaluated, so keep an eye here and on the website for an update.

I just moved neae the historic african american cemetery in wheelwright. Often refered to as the "colored cemetery_ no racism intended. " This grave yard is one of the oldest locations in town and many stories have been told.

We are looking to complete the follow up to the Osborne case as well as look at some evidence collected by a close friend of ours and make a decision based on that evidence as to whether or not we make the long trip to the almost notorious Frozen of Breathitt county KY. Also look for us to be expanding our article section. We recieved a call recentally from a man in a plantation home that is experiencing activity so we may be taking that case depending on the man's choice. A sad time for DPRT

Over the weekend Don McGarey, father of DPRT cryptozoology director Derek McGarey passed away after a bout with cancer. Don was so supportive of us that it often felt like he was a member of the team and he will be sadly missed.

Dravenstar has a hunt at a new location coming up, and we thought we would give our readers a sneak peak. On Sunday investigators Sam and Derek did a preliminary investigation at the site, and here's two pics from the preliminary hunt.

In this pic there is a small orb above the small frame on the right next to the curtains.

In the pic on the right there is a orb above the frame of the mirror. Strangely, the mirror itself doesn't seem to cast any reflection of the flash.

Keep an eye on the website for a full report on this location. Hopefully the team will do a full scale investigation either Friday or Saturday.

Addressing personal attacks toward DPRT

Several people have been busy degrading and lying about our team for some time now and I have decided to take this matter into my hands. I will not, nor will any DPRT member reveal these individuals but they have gone to far. I have talked with sites that were misinformed about us and the problem has been corrected. I want to let everyone know if you want to know about us, ask us, not someone who is too ego driven to really care about the paranormal field!!! I want to let the degraders know the next time I am informed of these actions I will seek proper legal actions as slander is quite a crime! Thanks and please everyone don't believe everything you hear, we are truly professional and we have not done anything these false accusers say we have.

Gilliam house hunt....scary!!!!

Our new location proved more than we expected!!!! The place literally reeked of activity including 2 apparition sightings and a very disturbing evp which can be found on the site. The house itself is very very old and the site of several deaths by awkward means. We have decided that a follow up is not only merited but very much needed. This house seemed to have a spirit that watches over the children but at the same time some very unwanted feelings were felt inside the home. Please keep checking the site for more updates on this amazing case.

Dravenstar prepares for possible investigation

We were recently made aware of a hospital that has had repeated sightings of what they call an angel. This entity has shorted gear out and caused tvs to act as if magnets had been stuck to them. DPRT awaits administrative approval and then we will head in for three hours and see if we cannot get to the bottom of this angel sighting.

The church is home to a graveyard in the basement. Last time we went the results were questionible so it was with great care I talked with a member of the church's council and they seemed interested and so the team will return. This time we will be doing a full scale investigation on the graveyard as well as getting a few interviews from folks who have experiences there. I hope to not only keep you posted but post some evidence.

Results of Investigation 9/2/05

Well, our director said most of it in his comment on the last post: "What a night folks. We investigated the church and then decided to head to Newman Cemetary, a very hot spot for paranormal activity. While the church yeilded little evidence the cemetary had a very differant effect on us. We have a few good pics and 2 EVPs. But the highlight of the night was when assistant director Elyse suffered a panic attack after hearing the voice of a spirit. This spirit was traced with emf detection equipment."

The church was really a complete bust. The only possible paranormal activity came when Sam was doing and evp at the cemetary under (that's right, under) the church. He asked if any spirits were there to knock. Instead, right at that moment, a rock came rolling past him. He was the only one under there, so no one knocked the rock down.

Newman Cemetary however proved to be it's old haunted self. As Sam said, we have two nice EVPs, one of which we think is a spirit calling our teammate Jeremy's name clear as day. We also have some nice spirit orb pictures which will hopefully be posted later. The emf meter went crazy, lighting up all around Jeremy, and whatever set it off was seeming to follow him, being there one minute, and gone the next. An apparition was also spotted near a grave where we almost always get either an evp or a photo. However, not all was right on the hunt. As Sam said, our assist. director, Elyse, suffered a severe panic attack after hearing the voice of a spirit tell us to leave and not come back. Although the temp was in the high 70s or low 80s, both Elyse and Sonya were freezing cold to the touch. We decided then to call it a night and get out of there.

Well, that was all for this hunt. Hopefully pics will be available in the next couple of days.
